It all begins with the name. Zeaple comes from two words: zeal and people. Zeaple is an organization that is filled with people who are passionate about what they do. I believe that the reason why me and Hubert have always excelled when it comes to IT work is because we are passionate about it. From our roles as MISA officers to coursework in college to the projects we take as professionals, we were always able to give 110% because we genuinely enjoyed what we were doing. When you love what you do, you are able to pour in thousands of hours needed to improve your skills in your chosen discipline. It was from this insight that we decided to build the cornerstone philosophy of our organization: People with passion.

What do we believe in?

Integrity. There is only one way to do things: the right way. Right from the start, me and Hubert promised never to evade tax or pay bribes. No funny business. We will never do anything against our conscience. Until now, we haven’t collected for a lot of the projects we have done because we still cannot issue official receipts. Our BIR application has also been delayed a bit since some departments that issued clearance asked for "something to hasten the process". We did not pay for the "something" and were delayed a bit for that.

Do not be greedy. We know full well how much the going rate for websites in the market is. However, that doesn't mean we have to agree with it. At our rates, we can produce websites at half the market price. Why? Simple. We in our company do not believe in being greedy. The efficiency at which we produce our websites is scary. Hubert’s record for development time is 3 hours. Mine is 6 hours. I don’t think that charging a client a large sum for something that was done in 6 hours makes sense. Besides, part the software we use comes from the open source movement whose goal is to make software available to everyone. What we are charging is simply the value we add to the product we give. We will get our profits not from what the market values but from the value we deliver.

Our current “Operating System”

What is this “Operating System”? It is really just a set of overarching strategies that will define the actions of our organization. Compared to the philosophy and beliefs mentioned above which cannot be changed, these strategies are not set in stone and can be adjusted, removed and improved on when the need arises.

“Putting The Pieces Together”. Zeaple, is really not an IT organization. It is a Research and Reapplication organization. A lot of the problems in this world already have solutions! Do you need an ERP? There are a lot of open source platforms for that. Hardware designs for an electronic component you are developing? There is such a thing as open source hardware. Do you need a solution to poverty or traffic? A quick Google and you can find that a lot of people have already thought of ways of solving them (and have been able to make them work on a small scale). We live in a different world now. It has now become practical to become skilled in the reapplication and not the creation of ideas and solutions. So far, we have done this in our field of expertise. By merging together services from 5 companies, at least 6 software components, and countless ideas from our clients, we are able to produce a website with a lot of the functionalities that suit small organizations and businesses. We are able to do this at less than half the market price for updateable websites. The current market price for updateable websites is around 20,000 php but we can produce it at 10,000 php including hosting and domain costs already.   To add to that, we can make it a week! I believe that this approach of research and reapplication can be applied to fields outside of IT and it is our hope that Zeaple will soon have divisions in other disciplines.

Organic Growth a.k.a. “The Plan is to Have no Plan”. At Zeaple, it is our clients that give us our direction. We originally started with just two products: the basic and the ecommerce package. We then took those products and let our customers guide us in our product development. Some of the components we added to our packages were the things that our customers kept asking for (such as the photo and download manager). We also have packages that the customer himself suggested to us (such as the band package). Currently, we plan to have 5 packages available in the next few months. 3 of them were all ideas our clients. This strategy means that we don’t really need a product research team. We just create products that already have a demand. All we have to do is listen to our clients.

Currently, Zeaple is a little over 5 months old and we already have 27 done or ongoing projects under management. Locally, we have several companies that outsource their web development work to us. We have already begun testing our development process to foreign clients. We have a US based client and have already established a Canadian Branch registered under Zeaple Solutions.
